Obama Admin Expands Law Enforcement Program 287(g), Criticized for Targeting Immigrants and Increasing Racial Profiling | Democracy Now!
The Obama administration has expanded the controversial 287(g) program, which allows local law enforcement agencies to enter into agreements with Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, effectively giving local police the powers of federal immigration agents. The agreements have been widely criticized for increasing racial profiling and singling out immigrants for arrest without suspicion of crime. We speak to Aarti Shahani of Justice Strategies and Roberto Lovato of New America Media.
This is outrageous! Peace.

Guns and Butter – “Osama bin Laden Dead or Alive?” with Dr. David Ray Griffin
“Osama bin Laden Dead or Alive?” with Dr. David Ray Griffin on his new book by the same name. We examine all the evidence, both that indicating bin Laden died, and that suggesting he is still alive; the important bin Laden videos and audio recordings, the significance, if any, in the timing of their release; statements by significant political and intelligence figures; and why the hunt for bin Laden must proceed.
This edition of Guns and Butter was very interesting. Dr. David Ray Griffin makes some very interesting arguments about all of the video and audio of Osama bin Laden that we here in the west have seen and heard. I for one believe that much of what I’ve seen and heard has been faked. About Osama’s being dead, I’m still not so sure. But you can make your own desicions about that. Peace.
Boycott AHAVA | CODEPINK : AHAVA: Stolen Beauty Campaign

I personally do not use AHAVA products, therefore I had no idea that they were responsible for producing products grown on illegal West Bank settlements. I try to boycott the State of Israel and companies that support Israel whenever I can. I persoanlly feel that consumers should have this kind of information available to them so that they can make the decision for themselves whether or not to continue buying from companies that support the breaking of international and humanitarian law. You can learn more about CODEPINK’s Stolen Beauty campaign on their website. Peace.
